  Who should attend? This certificate course was designed specifically for HR professionals with Safety Responsibilities. Whether new to safety, responsible for safety, or working with a safety department the materials will help the participant recognize and understand the basics of safety regulations as well as other important safety considerations that apply to their organization. 

Objectives

• What you’ll learn:

• Reducing risks in the workplace, including ergonomic risk factors, workplace violence prevention, emergency evacuation plans and establishing a workplace driving policy
• OSHA (OSHA) basics such as first aid/bloodborne pathogens, chemical hazard communication, lockout/tagout, fall protection, personal protective equipment, electrical safety and forklift operator requirements
• Recordkeeping and log requirements for Occupational Safety & Health Administration
• Department of Transportation (DOT) basic requirements
• You’ll also get:
• HRCI Certification: Participant will receive 12 hours of continuing education credits. This activity has met HR Certification Institute's (HRCI) criteria*
• Receive your choice of the Employee Safety Handbook: Construction or Employee Safety Handbook: General Industry. These easy-to-read reference guides help employees increase their understanding of safety principles, rules, potential hazards and accident prevention techniques.

• *HCRI credits are issued through the NSC Nebraska Chapter, an authorized/certified center.
